I am bed bound with a neurological injury and facing imminent homelessness. I was evicted from my subsidised apartment, and I’m forced to pay for unaffordable private accommodation.
There is no government subsidised housing or nursing that I can access until I obtain a complete medical diagnosis. However, I have been rejected by 21 different neurologists. My injury was deemed too complex, and my requirement for paramedic transport means I am viewed as a liability. The delay in accessing a diagnosis will increase my out-of-pocket nursing and housing costs substantially. If a neurologist accepts me, paramedic transport to consultations will cost around $1000 per trip, with an estimated total of up to 8 consultations/tests needed.
Having no healthcare access and being on the verge of homelessness makes this a dangerous and degrading situation to be in. I would appreciate any donations people can offer to ensure my safety. Thank you.

probably the best cover of this song i have ever heard
the evolution of enjolras’s hair, from high school through college (because i’m a lazy asshole who can’t be bothered to try to figure out france’s weird as hell school system)
edit: i am aware america’s school system is weird too, but omg forgive me for not doing research for one ridiculous piece of fanart, is it completely necessary to comment on that instead of, oh i don’t know, the art itself?
(and at least our system makes numerical sense ok)
You have a feeling it’s going to be a long day.
school sucks,
she says,
gleefully holding a page of c’s
to the fireflies
she’d burn it if she could,
she’d catch bugs and hold them
to her arms
until her skin crumbles gray to the ground
i know she hates it.
sometimes it’s just her,
sometimes she invites fear along.
she kisses it at night, sneaks
out to meet it.
she keeps a picture of it by her
bedside table and records
its words in her countless cassettes.
she knows how to touch
and she knows how to kiss
she never learned how to cry;
she hides it in bathrooms
and matches
and words on the page
she’ll hold my hands,
yes, but only to lean in close and
whisper ‘don’t ever
drink. don’t do that
to yourself’.
i promise because
the truth is trapped somewhere
under my throat—as
scared as i am to speak
school sucks,
she says,
her head between her
knees, her shoulders
shuddering.
